Energy Efficient Homes

Muller, Foreign Policy, Nov 2008. ○ If you don’t understand energy efficient technology it’s probably because it’s based on principles of thermodynamics, physics, and rocket science. © Crook 2010. ○ When you install an alternative energy system without first reducing your building’s demand for energy you ‘re still wasting energy and foregoing comfort--You've put the cart before the horse. © Crook 2011. ○ An energy efficient building is always "Green" but a green buildings isn't always energy efficient. © Crook 2009. ○ "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction", Sir Isaac Newton's "Action-Reaction Law", 1687. ○ The transfer of heat between objects can never be stopped: it can only be slowed down. © Crook 2008. ○ It's always easier to get into something than it is to get out. Clean coal refers to coal with less particulants/pollutants. ○ Clean coal when burned, unless SEQUESTRATED spews CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) into the atmosphere causing pollution. Energy Saving Services

While computers, cell phones and cars have rapidly advanced, our buildings have not.

Why is this, well there are several reasons. We live in a “throw away” society and companies are totally focused on this. It means more profit for them. They can keep selling the newest and people will get rid of something they just bought a year ago.

The second reason is that in computers, cell phones and cars there is huge competition going on for a company’s place in the market, and for those lucrative dollars.

The energy efficient, green building market has not evolved to that level. Yes, there is competition, and most is the type that sells to make a sale, not to improve the overall integrated energy saving potential of the structure, which perpetuates the “throw away” legacy.

Energy efficient, “green building” technology is in its infancy, and will only accelerate with more demand.

The good news is that  the Energy Efficient Homes Team and EcoBuilt Efficient Buildings are innovators and inventors. Our team is working on several fronts to improve the materials that are used and the way that they are used.

The success of these innovations will serve as the marketing catalyst to bring energy efficient, green building into the forefront of mainstream awareness. We see the combination of economic need, lack of access to fossil fuels, the practicality and comfort of these homes and buildings, and the implication for future generations as the catalyst for market demand.

When you work with our experienced team you will avoid someone else’s learning curve. Our team has 70+ years of combined experience. For example, we’ve seen enough failed projects to know we WON’T install alternative energy equipment, i.e. solar, geothermal, wind without first reducing a building’s energy use.

The knowledge gained through academic rigor; contracting; energy efficient, green development and building; and energy efficient technologies, has solidified an unrivaled group of experts that have “lived the dream” and can make that possible for their clients.
